Family Storytimes

Family Storytime

Families with children of all ages and abilities are invited to enjoy stories and fun activities together. These interactive family storytimes include fun songs, books, a craft, and coloring pages to take home. Books related to the theme are available for families to check out after the program. Pre-registration is required.

The stories, songs, fingerplays and activities used in storytime are designed to:
~ Provide children with an early group experience.
~ Encourage an increased attention span.
~ Promote early literacy.
~ Expose children to a variety of children’s literature.
~ Teach respect for others.
~ Discover the joy of reading and have fun visiting the library.

Every time you open a book, you are:
~ Sharing Quality Time
~ Developing Language Skills
~ Building Self Esteem
~ Developing Listening Skills
~ Having Fun!
