View Looking Northwest From the Church Steeple

A priceless water color of Lititz in 1813 by Samuel Reinke was photographed and became available in color on post cards. (ca 1967). The Historical Foundation found this picture to be quite accurate and many homes have been located. In an effort to double-check on this, Menno Rohrer climbed all the way to the church belfry only to find a sea of trees. Come the fall of the year and bare limbs, pictures will be taken which should be quite revealing.

Some years ago when this faded water color was found, it was restored by John Muth. Grant Heilman did an excellent job of photographing and the picture is now available to anyone. [It is not known if it is still available in 2009]
